Pre-puppy considerations
Pre-puppy considerations
So, you’re getting a puppy?
It will be cute, cuddly, soft; it will have big eyes and chew on your finger with those soft little teeth; it will snuggle into the crook of your arm as you watch telly and when you take it to the shop, pub, office everyone will coo over it and laugh as it mistakes the doormat for a wee pad; it will
grow up into an adult dog
and that is
the wrong time
to start thinking about training
and
whether you have the right sort of dog
in the first place!!!
We offer a session to help you choose the right breed for you, your family and your lifestyle, guidance on how to bring the puppy into your home in a way that will ensure it has the best start in life and grows up to be the happy member of the family you want it to be and not the problem everybody blames on somebody else.
Most behaviour problems can be solved later in life, with some hard work and dedication, but it’s far better, easier, and cheaper just to get it right in the first place.
If you’ve already chosen your puppy, the session will cover the basics of puppy-rearing, nutrition, socialisation, vaccinations, when to neuter, if at all, and so on.
This session can be booked by small groups (1-4) and can be adapted if you already have your puppy
